The Office of the Ombudsperson (OOM) of IOM expressed to ADR Center Benefit the necessity that (around) 10 individuals who work as Respectful Workplace Focal Points (RWFP) in various locations around the world become certified mediators. They act as neutrals, first-line responders of OOM trained in conflict prevention and conflict management. Their role is to offer consultations at the local and regional level, facilitating dialogue between those involved in a workplace problem. However, RWFPs are not independent ombudspersons; they do not conduct mediation. For this reason, selected ADR Center to conduct a Certified Mediation Training.
11 IOM’s RWFP representatives became Certified Mediators Accredited by ADR Center and following criteria of CEPEJ/Council of Europe standards.
