Jay has been with JAMS since 1991, and has been instrumental in the growth of JAMS and ADR over the last three decades.
He writes and speaks widely on various ADR topics to groups throughout the world. As General Counsel of JAMS through 2016, he was responsible for all legal matters, panel quality, risk management, ethics, the JAMS National Arbitration Committee, the JAMS Institute, (Training) and the JAMS Foundation.
Prior to joining JAMS, Mr. Welsh practiced law in San Francisco. He served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at both USC and USF Law Schools. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and the University of California, Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.
