COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE LEGAL AND INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORKS AND BEST PRACTICES FOR COMMERCIAL MEDIATION

In order to assist the ADR Working Group (WG) and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) of Serbia to realize effective improvements for mediation practices in commercial disputes, EBRD and IDLO are developing the project on ‘Commercial Mediation (Phase II): Comparative Analysis’. The main objective for this project will be to assist the ADR WG in developing an effective strategy for improving the existing legislation on mediation, with specific focus on commercial disputes.

Within such Project, IDLO identified ADR Center as company providing a team of international experts with direct experience in commercial mediation to work closely with counterparts and Project Team and provide Serbian institutions involved in commercial mediation with examples of best practices from other Western Balkan countries as well as other countries where commercial mediation is well-established and works effectively.

SELECT ACTIVITIES

  • The work on this assignment includes:
  • Engaging international experts from Italy, Greece, Turkey, Holland, Austria and Singapore;
  • Engaging experts from Serbia and wider Balkan region;
  • Coordinating experts work towards the successful completion of the Comparative Analysis and presenting the major results to the counterparts in Serbia together with the project team.
