SEÇKIN ARIKAN

Seçkin Arikan graduated from Ankara University Law School (LLB) and attended the University of Texas Law School as a foreign visiting student. He has been practicing law since 1993 in Ankara, Turkey, serving as a legal counsel, arbitrator and mediator to local and international individual and corporate clients at Arikan & Arikan Law Office. He served as a speaker, moderator and instructor in many national and international conferences, symposiums, trainings, and courses.

He taught Contracts, International Trade Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution courses in English at Banking and Commercial Law Institute of Ankara Law School 2001 to 2006, Alternative Dispute resolution methods class at Ankara Bar Association internship training school 2008 to 2010 and Alternative Dispute Resolution course at TOBB University Law School at 2015-2016 school year.

Arikan served as Vice President of Foreign Relations and EU Commission of Union of Turkish Bars Association 2002 to 2006, President of Ankara Metropolitan Rotary Club 2006-2007, President of Alternative Dispute Resolution Center of Ankara Bar Association 2005 to 2010, member of Union of Turkish Bars Association delegation of Ankara Bar Association 2008-2010, Vice President of Ankara Bar Association 2014-2016.

He is the author of Turkey sections of “The Variegated Landscape of Mediation” and “Arbitration and Mediation in the Southern Mediterranean Countries” books.

He currently is President of A Plus Mediation Center In Ankara, Turkey, Vice President of Turkish American Association and legal representative American Bar Association In Turkey.
